Chiropractic And Yoga: A Partnership For Better Health

The main goal of chiropractic care is spine realignment, which is done through tissue massage and spinal adjustments. One of the best ways to keep your spine always in proper alignment is to ensure that your back and core muscles are strong.

Yoga is an excellent practice for targeting the back and core, which support the spine. Adding yoga to your care regimen will continue the healing work that we begin in the chiropractic office.

In addition to improving one’s musculoskeletal structure, the benefits of yoga extend to support your immune and endocrine systems, too. And of course, practicing yoga can be a huge boost to mood and mental health.

Myriad Benefits of Yoga

  • Tone muscles, increase flexibility, strengthen joints, and improve posture

  • Reduce lower back pain and increase mobility

  • Increase nerve connections and communications

  • Fight chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer

  • Promote weight loss

  • Promote relaxation

  • Reduce stress

  • Reduce anxiety and fear

  • Promote positive thinking and mental clarity

  • Lower blood pressure

Next month is National Yoga Month. It’s the perfect time to take your chiropractic care up a notch and add yoga to your routine.
